The October 22 patch is a big dual drop: a full Halloween Event on top of permanent systems I have been wanting for a while (trinkets, layout presets, a fifth character slot, sleep mode). I split this page the same way I play the patch — event first, then the systems that stay after the pumpkins leave. For live dungeon / fishing notes, also see the Halloween 2026 event page.

Quick Answer

Party dungeons are back as the Halloween fight: respawning pumpkins grind down the Pumpking, tiers gated by attack power, trinkets on every tier (solo bonus). Fish at the Halloween pond with a new rod slot. Permanent adds: trinkets, rune/curio presets at combat 70, fifth character after Maevath, sleep mode, gem-shop skin trials, and a reworked Stat Info window.

Halloween Event

Party dungeon — Pumpking

Party dungeons return as a single fight. Endlessly respawning pumpkins wear down the Pumpking. The fight is tuned for both solo runs and parties.

  • Tier gate: your attack power
  • Rewards: usual dungeon loot plus trinkets every tier
  • Solo bonus: extra trinket incentive when you run alone

Side quest

A new Halloween side-quest chain is granted once per account when you hit level 50.

Act 1 art pass

Act 1 got a full Halloween visual refresh: new props in every level, updated forest and mountain tilesets, darker backdrops. Even if you are not grinding the dungeon, the early-game routes look different.

Fishing mini-game (event only)

Fishing arrives inside the Halloween event as a mini-game — this is not the full fishing profession yet (that is a future patch).

How I run it:

  1. Cast at the Halloween pond
  2. Wait for the bite
  3. Hit the strike gauge on time
  4. Reel the fish in

The bite medallion has a Zz button that hands the session to auto mode when I want to step away. Fishing needs the fishing rod, which has its own equipment slot next to the axe and pickaxe.

Trinkets

Trinkets are a new equippable item type:

  • One main stat
  • Four additional stats
  • Can be enhanced
  • Disassemble a trinket to get part of the invested material back

Halloween dungeon tiers are the clear early farm for them. I treat enhance investment carefully until more of the disassemble return rate is logged.

Presets (Runes & Curios)

Rune and curio layout presets let you save pages of layouts and have them applied automatically when you switch activity (mobs, bosses, mining, woodcutting).

  • Unlock: combat level 70 for both runes and curios
  • Cap: up to six pages per mechanic

This is the QoL I use most on multi-activity characters — stop re-slotting by hand every time I swap from trash to a boss.

Characters

  • A fifth character slot unlocks by killing Maevath
  • Lone Wolf gets a matching bump for giving that slot up: magic find 40 → 50, and all experience and gold 40% → 50%
  • Character select fits all five cards on one row

Sleep Mode

A new sleep screen leaves the game idling with a minimal display (status + clock) while the game keeps running in the background. The sleep button sits in the side menu, just before settings. Auto-sleep settings can be adjusted.

Gem Shop

  • Skin trials: try cosmetics from a skin bundle for free for one hour
  • The daily gem card now stacks up to 180 days, can be bought again while 150 days or fewer remain, and its daily reward is claimed on a new animated screen

Stats & Info

The reworked Stat Info window explains every stat with its full name, a written description, the real numbers behind it, and a breakdown of where each modifier comes from. Pick any stat from the list on the left. Large values show as K / M / B instead of raw eight-digit numbers.

UI & Quality of Life

  • Side menu stays anchored above the HUD bar on screens wider than 16:9 (no more drifting to the screen edge)
  • Locked items can be used again; transfers can join locked stacks again
  • Card journal shows the right tiers and card details when the tier cap changes or the window is reopened
  • Level-up text no longer flips when the hero turns around

New Players

  • Guild, friends, mail, news, and the 7/30-day rewards stay clearly locked until the account is registered
  • Early-game boundary: shop, stash, and smithing open when onboarding is finished; menu badges and reminders follow the same rule
  • Hint bubbles over the boars, town, and wasps portals stay up until you actually take the portal (no more fading after a few seconds)
  • Default music volume is lower

What I Am Still Logging

  • Official Halloween end date
  • Full trinket enhance / disassemble curves
  • Exact party-dungeon tier attack thresholds
  • Halloween shop / currency tables if any appear mid-event

When those land, I will update this page and the Halloween event entry. Tips or screenshots: contact or contributors.
